Leading Property Agents Event
The LPA took the unusual and adventurous step of organising a full day conference and forum tackling the various issues surrounding the Costa del Sol?s most prominent industries, tourism and real estate.
The event took place at the Don Carlos hotel where it was officially opened by the Mayoress of Marbella Angeles Muñoz. The forum tackled topics such as Urban Planning, the environment and also changes in the legal system for Realtors.
Topics discussed included building licences and local town planning, the housing demands for the future in Marbella, members of various organisations spoke such as Javier Martin Ledesma , President of the AEGI, as well as Ramón Dávile who is the President of PROMOTUR, The Promoters Association of Residential Tourism and Sports in Andalusia.
Professor Luisa Gomez Moreno and Dr Rafael Mata, University of Malaga http://www.uma.es/ spoke about the key issues affecting the environment of the region, predictions for the future and how we can minimize our environmental impact for a better future.
Ben Dahlstrom, Overseas Property Professional Magazine (OPP) http://www.opp.org.uk/ Ben Dahlstrom, from the UK publication Overseas Property Professional compared the Costa del Sol to other popular destinations and suggesting ways to attract more holiday makers and property buyers and how he sees the area performing against the newer destinations in 2020.
Finally the event came to a close with an open floor for Questions and Answers where those who attended took the opportunity to ask the panel various questions regarding the topics discussed.
