The first ever Alanda Cup was held at the Los Flamingos Golf Course.... on the 10th of Feb followed by lunch and entertainment at the Hotel Villa Padierna for over 120 guests...
On the 10th of February 2006 the very first annual Alanda Cup was held at the Los Flamingos Golf Resort. Over 16 teams participated in the event, bringing together Real Estate Agents, business partners and clients from all over the Costa del Sol. The day began with a pre golf breakfast where everyone took an opportunity to chat and meet with colleagues from the industry. With the first team Teeing off at 8.10am the day looked dark and not too promising as it began to rain...Armed with Alanda Rain Jackets everyone was brave enough and soon took to the course, most even managed to smile for the camera!
Before heading out all players were informed about the chance to win a beautiful Range Rover Sport with over 60,000€ on the 4 th Tee Hole In One Competition, the car supplied by Salamanca Coches in San Pedro was on view, positioned between the 1 st and 10 th Tee. Unfortunately no one succeeded, though rumour has it a certain player came within inches of a Hole In One..
On return from the course players made their way to the Hotels beautiful Salon Linares room where they were greeted by the Jazz and Blue's Band Midnight Train. Players and lunch invites enjoyed a refreshing drink and a chance to meet with other business associates before sitting down to wonderful three course meal served with all the splendour of the Villa Padierna Hotel.
Finally the scores were announced with the winners:
- 3rd Place went to Erick, Ocean Estates, 37
- 2nd Place to Diego Calente, 38
- 1st Place to Jorge Taillefer, from Kristina Szekely, 39
- Best Lady player Barbara Rossbeckova, 30
Jorge won a weekend in Dublin for two, staying at the Roganstown Golf and Country Club, the trip will include bed and breakfast, green fees and dinner at the prestigious Mc Loughlin restaurant. He was also presented with a beautiful hand cut Waterford crystal vase to mark the occasion, which will be proudly displayed at the KS offices!!
Next years event is going to be even bigger, better and more exciting than 2006, with the planning already in the pipeline, the Alanda Cup is set to become one of the most talked about Annual events on the Costa del Sol!
